Remove Fake and Policy-Violating Glassdoor Reviews
Glassdoor takes a review down when it breaks the Community Guidelines, never because an employer asks or pays. We find the reviews that do, tie each one to the rule it breaks, and flag it through Glassdoor's own process.

Can Glassdoor reviews be removed?
Yes, when a review breaks Glassdoor's Community Guidelines. Nexus Multimedia, a San Diego agency, gets Glassdoor reviews removed for employers across the United States: we find the reviews that break a specific guideline, document each breach, and flag them through Glassdoor's own moderation process. We get Glassdoor reviews removed with an over 95% success rate on the violations we take on. Outcomes depend on violation type and platform policies, and a review that is critical but within the guidelines stays up.
Who decides whether a flagged Glassdoor review comes down?
Glassdoor's moderators. Its trust and transparency pages say it removes reviews "based on strict policies, never because we've been paid or simply asked to," and warn against any service that "claims to have a special advantage or can guarantee review removal." We claim neither. Nexus Multimedia works through Glassdoor's own moderation process, with no special access; the work is knowing which reviews qualify and making a case that ties each one to the rule it breaks.
Glassdoor also points out that such services often charge for flagging, which "you or an employer can perform yourself for free through a Glassdoor account." That is true, and worth knowing before you hire anyone, us included. What an employer pays for is judgment: Glassdoor generally does not take sides in factual disagreements about review content, so a flag that argues your side of the story gives its moderators nothing to act on.
What Can Come Down
Which Glassdoor reviews break the rules?
Glassdoor's moderators judge each flagged review against its Community Guidelines, and its explainer on moderation says the same guidelines apply to every review. These are the breaches we look for.
Named employees below senior leadership
Reviewers may name senior leaders, such as executives, owners, and founders, when they describe conduct at work. Negative comments about identifiable employees outside that group break the guidelines.
Confidential company information
Non-public information, such as source code, customer lists, budgets, or detailed financial results, does not belong in a review.
Personal and contact details
Personal identifying or contact information about the reviewer or anyone else is not allowed, and neither are advertisements or links.
Threats and discriminatory language
Threats of violence and discriminatory language aimed at a person or group break the guidelines. Describing a workplace situation that involves a protected characteristic does not, on its own.
The wrong company, or not about the job
A review written about a different employer, or one that reviews only a product or service rather than the experience of working there, falls outside what Glassdoor publishes.
Paid or forced reviews
Glassdoor requires every account to be verified with an email address or a social networking account, removes content when it has evidence the reviewer was incentivized or coerced into posting it, and asks employers not to offer incentives in exchange for reviews.
Our Process
How does Glassdoor review removal work?
Read every review
We read each review on your Glassdoor profile against the Community Guidelines and tell you which qualify for removal, which do not, and why. A review that is harsh but within the rules goes on the second list, and we say so.
Build the case
For each qualifying review we name the guideline it breaks and quote the words that break it. Glassdoor declines evidence from parties with a vested interest in a removal, so the case rests on the review itself, not on your side of the story.
Flag it through Glassdoor
Each review is flagged through Glassdoor's moderation process with the reason that matches the breach and a short explanation. Glassdoor says technology filters screen reviews first and human moderators handle flagged cases.
Respond and rebuild
Reviews that stay up get a measured reply; Glassdoor says employers always get a free right of reply. Honest reviews from current staff, asked for without perks or pressure, add context to the older ones.
Honesty First
What will Glassdoor not remove?
Glassdoor publishes the limits of its moderation, and we work inside the same limits.
Glassdoor does not remove a review for being negative, and a company's relationship with Glassdoor, paying client or not, has no bearing on whether a review stays up.
Glassdoor generally does not take sides in factual disputes. It removes a review as false only when that is clear from reliable, independent information, and it declines evidence from parties with a vested interest in the removal.
Glassdoor never edits review text. A flagged review either stays up as written or comes down.
We do not try to identify reviewers. Glassdoor protects the anonymity of review authors, and a removal is won on what the review says, not on who wrote it.
We do not post reviews, offer staff perks for reviews, or pressure anyone to write one. Glassdoor removes reviews tied to incentives and can place an alert on an employer's profile when it finds ratings artificially inflated.
We do not promise that any single review will come down. Glassdoor says flagging a review for a second look does not guarantee its removal.
Glassdoor and Indeed
Does it matter that Glassdoor is now part of Indeed?
Glassdoor legally merged into Indeed, Inc. on July 1, 2026, and its brand, product, and anonymous reviews continue under Indeed's terms of use, as Reworked reported. Glassdoor's employer guide shows Glassdoor and Indeed reviews in one Reviews tile, with a toggle between the two sites.
Each review is still flagged where it was posted. A Glassdoor review is judged against Glassdoor's Community Guidelines; an Indeed company review goes through Indeed's own Report review option and its own guidelines, which our Indeed review removal service covers. Customer reviews on your Business Profile are a separate job, handled under Google review removal, and all three sit inside our reputation management work.
FAQ
Common questions about Glassdoor review removal
Yes, when a review breaks Glassdoor's Community Guidelines. Glassdoor says it removes reviews based on strict policies, never because it has been paid or simply asked to, and it does not remove a review simply because it is negative. We get qualifying Glassdoor reviews removed with an over 95% success rate on the violations we take on. Outcomes depend on violation type and platform policies.
No. Glassdoor says employers cannot pay to have reviews removed, that a company's relationship with Glassdoor has no bearing on whether a review stays up, and that no outside service has special tricks or relationships that bypass its standard moderation. Every removal goes through the same moderation process.
Glassdoor's human moderators take a second look. Glassdoor says technology filters screen reviews first and human moderators handle flagged cases, that flagging does not guarantee removal, and that it never edits review text. The review either stays up as written or comes down.
Only in limited cases. Glassdoor says it generally does not take sides in factual disagreements about review content, removes a review as false only when that is clear from reliable, independent information, and declines evidence from parties with a vested interest in the removal. A review that breaks a specific guideline, such as naming an employee below senior leadership, is a stronger case.
Not through the flagging process. Glassdoor protects the anonymity of review authors, and we do not try to identify reviewers. A removal is won on what the review says, not on who wrote it.
Usually, yes. Glassdoor says employers always get a free right of reply. A short, specific response that thanks the reviewer and addresses the point, without arguing or guessing at who wrote it, gives the candidates who read it after you a fuller picture.
