Terminated, suspended, or hacked YouTube channel? We work the official path back.
Nexus Multimedia recovers terminated, suspended, and hacked YouTube channels by diagnosing what happened, documenting the case, and working it through YouTube's and Google's official appeal and recovery channels. The work covers creators, businesses, and the agencies and managers who run channels on their behalf, and every case runs through YouTube Studio appeals, YouTube's channel termination appeal, Google account recovery, and Creator Support where the channel is eligible.
A channel is rarely just a channel. It holds the video library, the subscriber base, the search traffic those videos earn, and for many businesses the most visible proof that they are real. When YouTube terminates it, or someone takes over the Google Account behind it, all of that goes dark at once, and the first moves you make decide how much of it can come back.

What We Recover
Which YouTube channel problems can be recovered?
Terminations, suspensions, strikes, hacked channels, and lost access can each be worked through YouTube's official processes, but every one runs on a different path. Working out which one you are in comes first.
Terminated channels
YouTube terminates a channel for repeated Community Guidelines violations, a single case of severe abuse, or a channel it judges to be dedicated to a policy violation. A terminated channel loses its dashboard and most of YouTube Studio, its videos disappear from public view, and YouTube treats any other channel you use, own, or create afterwards as circumvention. The appeal starts in YouTube Studio, or through YouTube's termination appeal form when Studio will not let you begin one. YouTube sets out the rules in its article on channel or account terminations.
Suspended and restricted channels
Not every enforcement is a termination. A Community Guidelines strike freezes features such as uploading and live streaming for a period, a first violation usually draws a warning before any strike, and monetization can be removed separately from the channel itself. These are recoverable states, and they are also where a careless response turns a strike into a termination. YouTube explains how strikes build up in its Community Guidelines strike basics.
Community Guidelines and copyright strikes
The two strike systems are separate. Community Guidelines strikes come from YouTube's own review and are appealed inside YouTube Studio. Copyright strikes come from a rights holder's takedown request, and they resolve through a retraction from the claimant or a counter notification where the use was genuinely yours to make. Enough active strikes of either kind ends in termination, so each one deserves a proper response rather than a wait. YouTube's guides to copyright strikes and to appealing Community Guidelines strikes set out both routes.
Related channel terminations
YouTube can terminate a channel because it is linked to another channel that was terminated, through a shared owner, a shared manager, or a person repeatedly featured on it. These cases often catch channels that did nothing wrong themselves, such as a business channel managed by the same agency as a terminated one. The appeal has to establish the real relationship between the channels, and that is a documentation problem before it is anything else.
Rejected appeals
A rejected appeal is not always the end. YouTube limits how many times a termination can be appealed, so the next submission has to be the right one, built on what the first appeal missed rather than a restatement of it. We review what was sent, what YouTube decided, and whether a further avenue actually exists, and we tell you plainly when it does not.
Hacked channels where the email or owner was changed
When a channel is hacked, at least one Google Account connected to it has been compromised. The attacker often changes the recovery email, renames the channel, runs scam livestreams, or makes themselves owner of the Brand Account. Recovery starts with Google account recovery for the compromised account, then reverting the unwanted changes before they draw strikes, then removing every owner and manager you do not recognise. YouTube's guide to recovering a hacked YouTube channel is the official sequence.
Lost Brand Account or channel manager access
Many channels sit on a Brand Account with its own owners and managers, separate from any one person's login. When the only primary owner leaves a business, an agency closes, or an employee's personal account was the owner, the channel can be perfectly healthy and still unreachable. We document ownership and work access back through Google's own permissions and recovery processes. YouTube explains the roles in its article on channel permissions.
Where this fits
YouTube is one part of our wider social media account recovery work, which also covers Instagram, Facebook, Meta ads, and WhatsApp. If you are still working out what happened and want the first steps in order, start with our guide on what to do when a YouTube channel is terminated.
How It Works
How does YouTube channel recovery work?
Through diagnosis, documentation, and YouTube's and Google's official channels, in that order. Every case follows these steps.
-
Intake within one business day
You send the channel URL or channel ID, the termination or strike email, screenshots of what YouTube Studio shows, and a short account of what happened and when. We respond within one business day.
-
Diagnosis on the intake call
We establish which state the channel is in, what most likely triggered it, and whether there is a realistic path to recovery. We accept a case only when there is one, and you get a fixed quote before any work starts.
-
Documentation
We assemble the evidence the relevant process expects: proof of ownership, the channel's history, the context around flagged videos, licences or permissions for disputed content, and a factual timeline of events.
-
Official paths only
We work the appeal in YouTube Studio, YouTube's channel termination appeal, Google account recovery for hacked channels, and Creator Support where the channel is eligible for it. Nothing goes through a side door, because there is not one.
-
Restoration and hardening
Once access is back, we tighten it. Two step verification on every owner and manager, passkeys or security keys where they fit, a clean permissions list, and no shared logins.
Boundaries
What we will not do.
Recovery work attracts people selling shortcuts. These are the ones we refuse, and refusing them is why the work holds up.
- No new channels to get around a termination. YouTube treats that as circumvention, and it can end the recovery path for the channel you actually want back.
- No fake or edited documents. Everything submitted to YouTube or Google is genuine, because a forged document turns a recoverable case into a closed one.
- No bots, purchased views, or purchased subscribers. Not during a recovery, not after one.
- No promises of inside contacts. We do not have them. Nexus Multimedia is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, WhatsApp, or Meta.
Pricing
A fixed quote before any work starts.
You get a fixed quote after the intake call, based on the case type. A hacked channel with a clean history and a terminated channel with a related channel link to untangle are not the same job, and the quote reflects that.
No work starts before you approve that quote, and the number does not move once it is set. If the diagnosis shows no realistic path to recovery, we say so and there is no quote to approve.
FAQ
Common questions about YouTube channel recovery
Sometimes, yes. A terminated channel can be reinstated when an appeal shows the termination was a mistake, the content was misjudged, or the channel was hacked when the violations happened. We tell you on the intake call whether we see a realistic path, and we accept the case only when there is one.
No. Once a channel is terminated, YouTube prohibits using, owning, or creating any other channel, and it treats a new one as circumventing the termination. A replacement channel is usually terminated as well, and it can end the recovery path for the original.
While the channel is terminated, its videos, playlists, and subscribers are hidden from everyone. If YouTube reinstates the channel, they generally return with it, because the channel is restored rather than rebuilt. Whether that happens rests on YouTube's decision on the appeal.
There is no promise on monetization. YouTube decides whether a reinstated channel keeps or regains YouTube Partner Program access, and it can treat that separately from the termination itself. We will not tell you otherwise to win a case.
Sometimes. YouTube limits how many times a termination can be appealed, so the questions are whether a further appeal is still available and what the first one missed. We review the original submission and YouTube's response, and if no avenue remains we say so before you spend anything.
A terminated channel is removed, its content is hidden, and its owner is barred from other channels. A suspended or restricted channel still exists but has lost features such as uploading, live streaming, or monetization, usually because of a strike. The appeal route and the stakes differ for each.
Usually, yes. A hacked channel is recovered by first recovering the Google Account behind it through Google's account recovery flow, which is built for cases where the attacker changed the email, phone number, or password. After that, unwanted changes are reverted and unknown owners and managers are removed.
Often, yes, when you can show the account was yours. Ownership changes made by an attacker are handled through Google account recovery and documentation of who held the Brand Account before the takeover. The sooner the case is opened, the more of that evidence still exists.
The most common reasons are a related channel termination, where YouTube links your channel to one that was terminated, and a hacked account that posted violating content before you noticed. Both are worth appealing, and both depend on documentation that shows what actually happened.
No. Community Guidelines strikes come from YouTube's own review and are appealed in YouTube Studio. Copyright strikes come from a rights holder's takedown request and are resolved through a retraction or a counter notification. Both count toward termination, so both deserve a proper response.
Creator Support is open only to channels that meet YouTube's eligibility criteria, and it is contacted from the channel itself. Where your channel is eligible, we prepare what to send and how to frame it. Where it is not, the case runs through the appeal and recovery routes instead.
No. Every case runs through YouTube's and Google's official appeal, verification, and recovery channels with proper documentation. Anyone promising an inside contact is selling something else. Nexus Multimedia is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, WhatsApp, or Meta.
You get a fixed quote after the intake call, based on the case type. No work starts before you approve that quote, and if there is no realistic path to recovery there is nothing to quote.
It depends on YouTube's review queue, which no outside agency controls. Once an appeal is filed, YouTube Studio shows its anticipated review time, and that is the figure to work from. We will not quote you a timeline we cannot stand behind.
The channel URL or channel ID, the termination or strike email, screenshots of what YouTube Studio shows, the dates things happened, and a list of everyone with owner or manager access. If Google asks for identity verification during account recovery, you complete that directly with Google.
